Has anyone made out what that sample is saying at the beginning of this track?

after 100's and 100's of listens this track is ok. its not really the best and it use's the sample at the start from '84 pontiac.... although the other voice is new in there.
but i just relised that they always use samples from there own music all the time, like on Teleph.... the voice cut bits in that are the same as the voice cuts in Nlogax.
so to answer you, no, i have no idea what its saying at the start dude, sorry.

You mean the vocal sample in 'Nlogax' is also used in the chopped-vocal samples of 'Telephasic Workshop'? This is the first I've heard of this... I'm gonna have to listen more carefully.

hahaha i don't know why, but a coke sign is probably the last thing i would think of when i listen to this song. I imagine being in in the middle of a forest and having a camera doing a super telephoto closeup of insects or something.

this track reminds me of my last trip across canada on the trans canada highway by greyhound. stood outside a truck stop having a cigarette in the middle of fuck knows where. it was a pretty intense journey that took almost six days, travelling non-stop except to change buses. i wish i knew about BoC in 1996. their music wouldve been perfect for the journey.

If you watch Zabrisikie Point, the detectives waiting for the main character to land the plane he stole are all next to the airstrip wearing 70's style blazers, have 70's style haircuts, and are standing under a giant Coke billboard. The movie also has a very grainy feel. I believe this scene may have influenced this song. Otherwise, it's just a unique coincidence.

There's a good chance it is, I mean, they did say they liked the movie.

Heh, I had a similar experience. Certain tracks from MHTRTC (which I was listening to at the time) and now The Campfire Headphase take me to the very moment when I was standing outside a truck stop-ish kinda place somewhere in Quebec. Ironically, Trans Canada Highway takes me back to road trips taken in the States.

I don't think I got that far north. I made it as far as Quebec City, which was very nice, and if I recall correctly, Trois Riviers (or whatever) is further north. Beautiful countryside though.

Let me say again that it also has the same track length as olson, coming in at 1:31. It has to be another version of it. I think.
