Boards of canada is like a girlfriend you've been in a relationship for a while, and it was really good, but as time went on, you started smothering her. It's not the same anymore. she can't be herself. And you expect so much from the relationship, who knows if anything she ever does will please you? You've turned your happiness into something that dependent on what she does, when she really does like you, she just want to be able to breathe and be herself in the relationship. And she wants you to too. She didn't expect what she did to affect you so much, but if it continues any longer, both of you are going to wind up resenting each other, which should never have happened in the first place. If you give her some room, and drop any expectations about the relationship, she might just surprise you with something very pleasant!

Lets all take a break from this forum, speculation, go outside, read a book, give your mom a hug, anything. Who knows what they're going to do or not, and in the end it doesn't really matter. They're artists, they do what they do and that's that. But what's become of this is kind of sad. And don't get me wrong, I would love to see some activity happen, I love the band. But i think it would be good for both parties to start off at square one, and let things flourish naturally so we can naturally enjoy the music.
