I agree with all of this except I think the album is great for any season. It has that sun-bleached sound to it, pointing to summer, but also feels very isolated, pointing to winter.

I'm pretty sure it is, but every time I hear it it just strikes me as the sound of a cute little puppy bark

it reminds me of this old campground site my family went to when we were vacationing in the rockies..
heard a dog bark a very similar sound. reminds me of that instantly.
