What are some perfect albums?
Obviously everyone will have different opinions but it's cool to see what different albums mean to different people.
For me they are only two so far
Music Has The Right To Children and In The Aeroplane Over The Sea

Everything from the artwork to the tracklisting is perfect in these two albums and of the course the music is amazing as well.

i don't know a perfect album, but those who are close to that and came to my mind right now are :

Animal collective - Merryweather post pavilion
Mgmt -Congratulations
Boards of Canada - In a beautiful place out (this one is perfect, but it's an E.P...)

Yeah, like every choice I came up with from the top of my head has been mentioned already - Twoism has taste!

Thinking a bit more I'd throw in Transformer by Lou Reed. There's also Phantom Power by quite a small band called super Furry Animals, and it is astonishingly underrated. That is one of my favourites of all time and definitely a perfect album.

Anyway the Autechre album you were trying to name is called "Amber". One of my "perfect" albums too.

I've never heard a perfect album before in my life, but the closest I've heard IMO are Geogaddi by Boards and The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails. I'd give both of those a score within one or two decimal points from a full 10/10.

Yep Downward Spiral is a perfect album, though I don't listen to it much nowadays.

I was a massive Floyd fan when I was in my late teens, early twenties. But to me DSOTM is spoiled by 2 tracks, one big clanger was On the Run and the other A Great Gig in the Sky. Always hated them and skipped them.

Maybe I ought to go back and have another listen? For a re-evaluation.

On the run can be a skipper for me 2, its still perfect in its own right.

Great gig in the sky on the other hand...how can you not like that?
Try singing along and you'll notice the power of that track. Or you lie down on the floor full on psychedelics...
