very nice find fujee. the video is very eerie. it must have been awesome to go to boc's website and see that play.

Fredd-E. the helios track you posted above, is not a remix of the track that fujee posted in this thread.

its actually a remix of this website intro that boards of canada used to have.

*edit*
damn, i forgot just how awesome that helios cover is.

Does anyone know if this one is legitimate? It was posted by the same user and is pretty similar but uses sampled footage (from Koyaanisqatsi) and a different song.

i just posted that exact same link in the post above yours. so you could have answered your own question by further exploring this thread.. with that said, the 34 second website intro does seem to be real. you should check out the link that fredd-e posted, its a great extended remix of the track.

Thanks for the clarification Fredd-E

Also that link is lovely, can't believe I haven't heard it.

Wish Boards' website was a little bit more interesting, maybe some hidden features or something. Or puzzles which unlock some images/video or something.

My apologies. I assumed the link you posted was a different version of that Helios mix and didn't click on it. I was just looking through that Youtube user's uploads and found that other bit so I posted.

First time I saw this, I was in my room in complete darkness with my headphones on.

Safe to say it scared the shit out of me.

I remember this sample playing on auto in the background the boc website circa 2003, but I don't recall the video.

Edit: actually check this instead.
I wish they still did stuff like this on their web site. Do you remember the flash animation thingy? Where there was an island in the sea with nice music playing. You could navigate around the island, zooming in and out would change the music, maybe making it louder and quieter.

In fact does anyone remember this at all or am I going mad :? ?

I definitely remember that. Had some reworked chunks of music in different nodes. I remember one place had the "take my hand" sample from You Could Feel the Sky looping. Mad creepy. There was another flash animation with jet trails or something too, right?

This is a relatively well known site from 2002 I believe. I'm pretty sure BOCpages will have more about it, but as I recall it was a project by James someone or other.

Actually, here we go - James Tindall. Quite alot of info on the site itself.
Interestingly, it looks like Atomless' offices are based in Dorchester - about a 30 min drive from my house. Might have to swing past and see if they're still there!

Ah I see. Is this where the visuals for the youtube video of BoC's "Time Apple" come from? Some of the kaleidoscope sequences remind me of it.

This is cool. I think I'll watch the Crystal Voyager film when I get off of work.
