I really love her authentic appearance and vintage style. Kind of surprized she isn't much mentioned on twoism yet. Anyone else into her?

Could have sworn there was a discussion about her Video Tape promo a while back? Must have imagined it..

Can't make my mind up. It all seems a little too manufactured to me, but the girl's got something. I'm just can't put my finger on what that something is.

Not particularly my thing. Sorta agree with Mex though, she is talented but maybe not for me.

She's stunning though.

I quite like her: I thought Video Games is a fantastic track.

Agree that she seems very manufactured: the whole look and sound has probably been focus-grouped to within an inch of it's life, but it's interesting to see a manufactured pop star with a bit of darkness, edge and SOMETHING....

There was a lovely mash-up doing the rounds on Twitter a while ago of the vocal from The Smiths' This Charming Man over Video Games - worked really well.

There was a little discussion on her in the Speculation topic. I forget how she was brought up.

I really enjoy her. She did a cover of "Blue Velvet" and I thought I was going to pass out. She's great.

I do remember how she was brought up, someone mentioned an interview with her in which she mentioned he had musician friends in Scotland, so of course someone had to say perhaps it was the brothers.

It was me, lol. But it was a joke of course, because of how nostalgic all of her videos are. I thought Twoism would like them.

By the way, she's re-releasing her album with a cover of "Blue Velvet" and just released another 10 minute video. I put details over here

She has a lovely voice. Still, she's no Nancy Sinatra. She doesn't have that real, magnetic, tangible personality personality to really become an icon. She's just another manufactured, overproduced pop star (and she is really overproduced, I think). It would be nice if she stepped it down a bit and followed the likes of, say, Hope Sandoval--who seems far less fabricated.

I'm obsessed with the visuals from the Paradise era. They're more refined and beautiful than the Born to Die album - and those visuals are HARD TO TOP!

Ride, Burning Desire, and Blue Velvet videos are lovely too.

I think Lana Del Rey is great. I love all of her songs, even those ones that were leaked. She could make an album with all those tracks. Has anyone seen Tropico yet, btw? It's so damn gorgeous! The visuals and the poetry are amazing in my opinion.

I dunno about Lana Del Rey. Something about her trips my "legit/manufactured" alarm, but I've never bothered to find out whether she's for real or not. That said, "Video Games" is a damn fine slice of pop.

In my opinion, Lana Del Ray (AKA Lizzy Grant) brought style and class BACK into the world of POP. Bitches seriously have some catching up to do if they wish to win back the respects of many fans. Lana set a standard that I believe many pop artists are trying to reach now. I DO enjoy her music, but like ALL Pop music, I can't listen to it for too long cuz I get sick of it fast.
