Haven't received it yet either. Tomorrow or the beginning of next. Most stuff from the UK takes less than a week, though.

You guys know there has been a postal strike in the UK, right? I hope Warp had the good sense not to use the Royal Mail. Not that I'm knocking the Royal Mail (sit down all you postmen reading this), but just saying it might have held things up for some?

they used Parcelforce :-/ which as everyone in the UK knows, is Royal Mail.

I changed my mind about not buying the box set, too late to buy from Bleep. Have had to use HMV. They updated their site to 'out of stock' only after I'd placed my order. That plus they are showing a release date of 5th October, I have a feeling they will stick to that date at very least (if they get the stock...)

well they have to stick to that date, that's the official release date.
have HMV already taken the funds from the pre-order?

Bibio's obsession creeps me out a bit, Snufkin.
Hehe - i'd have to agree! As much as I like Bibio I do get the impression that he could well live in a room with photoshop'd pictures of boc with himself cut in, or over the top of Mike's face - in fact I seem to remember that in Bibio's thank-you's for Ambivalence Avenue he only thanks Marcus. Could be looking to split 'em up and keep half the bocake -_-

Makes for a good cover track though ^_-
eh, hes no more obsessed than anyone here on this forum (probably much less obsessed than some people). he just happens to be an amazing musician that doesnt hide his admiration for the boc.

yeah i don't understand the derision thrown at Bibio for being openly inspired by BoC. and he is much less of a rip-off than artists like Tycho.

he uses similar techniques to BoC, yet his music has his own definitive stamp.

Not sure but I think HMV only take funds when they are just about to post items. HMV tend not to send out items before the official release date (unlike Bleep).

Did the Bleep orders come with any freebies?

yeah, WarpMart used to be pretty cool with sending stuff out before official release date, that was one of the reasons i'd always buy from them. Then when WarpMart got absorbed into Bleep they started only really sending out for the official release date.

as for freebies, nope. i didn't get any, and i haven't heard of anyone else getting any freebies.

the only freebies i've received from Bleep for about a year have been the few free stuff i got at the Warp Shop in Sheffield a couple of weeks ago, those being:

a tote bag
a pin badge
and a sticker

Can't speak for Hemulen, but, just to clarify: tongue-in-cheek ^_-

You can buy it at the german amazon. You can even select only to buy some CDs from the set or download those mp3s.

i wouldn't trust amazon with something like this - they claimed to have copies of the steel-case limited edition of autechre's Quaristice, only to disappoint people who'd preordered with them by stating that they couldn't get hold of the stock.

might have been because the stock sold out on WarpMart in 12 hours, amazon

I remember getting the TCH's album and EP a few days earlier than official release dates. Must admit I've not ordered much from WarpMart or Bleep since.

Nice work on the Warp shop freebies (that enamel Warp20 badge looks nice, didn't get one of those). I got a discount on the tote bag when I bought my BoC tee in Sheffield.

I once got a Plaid sticker from WarpMart. Plus the BoC stickers they've given out with everything BoC post Geogaddi. I think one of the best freebies I have ever heard of anyone getting from Warp was the MHtRtC promo CD, no case (let alone inlays), a few months prior to release. Can you imagine that happening these days...?!

The HMV site: it's only now they're saying the box set is a pre order. Perhaps they were working to the original release date when I placed my order (a week ago). At least it's not too long a wait, I suppose.
