BOC are watching us.

Post by Tenfoureightytwo »

Has anyone ever suggested that Boards of Canada themselves read and partake in this forum under a Pseudonym; because i am highly highly suspicious they do. I dont wanna name names but i have my suspicions as to who it is, has anyone else thought this? some people on this forum stay very quiet and direct conversations very carefully.

I wont name names, but when i first joined this forum someone messaged me about 7 times, determined that I was one of the brothers. He then said sorry, that he wouldnt message me anymore, then wished me good luck with my next album. I havent seen him on this board since.
He obviously thought BOC read this board.

But im not sure I do. It would be cool if they did though.

Well your from Scotland so its quite obvious that you are one of the brothers.

On a side note i always thought it would be cool to setup a facebook or myspace page that was fake but then have friend pages that are fake as well like this whole imaginary group of charcters interacting with each other. People would just follow the links and go in circles. Not that anyone would follow the links but meh.

Ive always thought that boc did a similar thing with thier myspace page as well. Although its claimed on the page they do not directly edit it themselves (which i think is bullS***). Anyone as "image" based (maybe image is the wrong words maybe mythical or illusonary) as boc wouldnt want someone else tampering with how they want to be percieved.

I got the impresion that some of BOC's friends edit the page. Im thinking MDG but I have no idea why I think that.

Personaly I like the fact that they are misterious and keep every one guessing. Its like a direct challenge for people to figure them out.

I was born in Edinburgh and go there all the time, but im still waiting for the day I pass one of them in the street.

I think if they were browsing this forum they would have to have some good motive to do so. I just cant see them sitting in front of a computer ROFLing to themselves as they fuck with their fans heads.

Because you might have read it on bocpages? :D

Search all of the instances of the word myspace on this page; it's mentioned in a couple of quotes by MDG. It will make all clear for you.

I'd be surprised if they didn't pop on and browse every so often, but i'd doubt they're regularly checking it. They're probably a bit bemused by alot of the speculation and theories that abound here (he says, posting more speculation..!)- I reckon they get the major cringes reading stuff about their imminent retirement. We also know from MDG they're not too phased about the old tapes, so they probably ignore that stuff.

I like to think they enjoy reading some of the stories/experiences and ideas surrounding their music though, probably not, but i'd like to think so nonetheless.

They probably just look at a few threads and think "We've created a monster. A MONSTER!"

There is no doubt in my mind they look at this forum. MDG looks at it, and he is a close friend, correct? That means they have to at least know of it. Why the heck wouldn't they take a browse once and a while? It's all about them!

I bet they have looked at it once or twice, I mean isn't it listed on warp as a fan site? But also, didn't they always say that they try to stay away from the internet or something? I mean, if they don't have time to update their website, what makes you think they would have time to look at us? Or maybe they choose not to update their website and they DO in fact browse twoism.org.

It would be pretty neat to have a thanks section in their next release, like: "Thanks to all of our fans, especially Twoism.org." :) But I highly doubt it.

hi!

but yeah, from what very little i know of them (very little), they don't seem too interested in the internet in general, outside of, maybe exlporing some of the freakier side effects of mass use on a populace or whatever.

me on the other hand, i've been online since i was 6 (AOL baby), weaned and raised on modem dials and screen names.
