Frequent C - Psychoactive Solar Reaction
Here's a little BOC inspired ditty I made a couple weeks ago...

Most of the synth work was done on Arturia's Moog Modular program... god I fucking love that thing! It's so fun to twiddle those knobs!
To the guy who mentioned Jeskola Buzz a few posts back, I know what you're talking about! I've been using that program for years and to this day there are still a ton of stability issues! They need to get on the ball!

How are you all? Been lurking here a while after been introduced to it via the Yahoo board - really enjoy it here - keep up the great vibe!
I'm up for this remix malarky, although it seems a daunting task.... I think it would be very difficult to better a BoC track... I guess the way to do a BoC remix would be to have a completely different take on song - for example the helios remixes.
I like the way BoC themselves do remixes, they seem to pick out the best element of a track, the essence of it if you will, and run with that. Take the Beck remix for example, I think the only part that remains of the original track is the vocals, but they managed to somehow keep the feel of the original and really bring out it's bitter sweet quality!
I'll throw my hat in the ring - why not!

aye that's what i use, can't really grasp what most of the utilities in it do, but i can make sounds and arrange them so yeah buzz rocks!Siggy wrote:If anybody need a (somewhat) simple way to create electronic music, give Buzz a try. It's completely free, and totally cool. I started on a Chromakey Dreamcoat remix, but my computer doesn't like Buzz, so progress is slow.
Anways, http://www.buzzmachines.com/
and my understanding was that anything goes (remix, original, inspired by BOC) and it's not a contest, just a compilation. am i right?
here is one of my BOC inspired tracks for this compilation
