Netlabel Association (Somewhat Twoism Related)

Post by Five Step Path »

Hey Twoism friends,
My buddy Mark and I had started a new website (mostly his idea though hah) named Netlabel Association, and I believe you guys are the first to view the site :). It's pretty much a Wiki website but it will soon have a huge archive of netlabel's and artists which released under netlabels along with their releases. The goal would be help artists such as yourselves to get noticed on the interwebs. Anyone is more then welcome to register and start putting up their netlabels, artists, and release pages.

This is the Twoism Records page. It would be great if someone can fill in some extra information (i'm sure there are people here that know Twoism much better then I do).

If you aren't sure where to begin the home page should have plenty instructions make a page and how the website works.

That is a brilliant idea I must say. This will be great for all the twoism artists. Now all I have to do is write a song and make it into the next OoT.

This totally is a sweet idea. Awesome going, FSP! I'll be sure and help out around the edges when I can.

EDIT: created the boreal network page :) it looks like crap, sorry. I'm no good at this wiki stuff.

That's where we come in. :)
We have several guides on the site itself that'll explain some of the formatting techniques used in the wiki environment. We understand that it can be tricky to do it correctly and nobody is perfect, so we do help correctly format these articles along the way. We really want to encourage everyone with a little time on their hands to write these articles on maybe their own music, their label, their favorite label or artist!

We have a section on the site that also allows labels or artists to update a page of "New Releases", where users can come in and click on links to see your newly released album. The page is empty at the moment (since the website is no more than two days old), but you can check it out here. When we get more participation, this will be an ideal page to go to for all of the latest releases by artists!

ooh, this is an excellent idea. i'll definitely be adding some information when i get some time; the chiptune community has some great netlabels, as well as some other genres that need more attention.

Great initiative!

I'm not that good at writing descriptions so I asked someone a while ago to make one for the Discogs page. I still have to get it so if someone feels free to write something about it, please go ahead!

All I have now is up on the myspace page.
"Established in 2007, the Twoism Records netlabel is the official home of the One on Twoism compilation series, featuring music from the independent artists of the online Twoism Forum.

All releases are available as a free download and also available to purchase as a physical release for a very reasonable price. See microsites for more info."

Just have to figure out how to get pictures on there, and get a download link to the EP

When logged in, you'll see a link on the left hand side that says Upload File. Upload the images, note the file names and place them in the appropriate places. For instance, if the file you uploaded had a name like "ArtistLive08.jpg", you would enter it exactly as is:

Img = ArtistLive08.jpg

If there is a specific field that isn't filled in, you don't have to completely remove it, it'll automatically remove itself in the actual article.
We would normally help out whenever we can but we don't always have the images available to us.
