Yeah I mean I've followed Stanhope for a long time, so it wasn't so much shocking as it was just horrendously depressing. I just can't imagine what that would've been like to go through. (I mean, to him, it was obviously hilarious, but you know...)

The credit card statute-of-limitations part was pretty hilarious though

I'm pretty sure this was my first sighting of Doug Stanhope. By the end I was nearly wetting myself.

That sounds like the first few seconds of In a Beautiful Place.... as well, just as he starts his rant.
