new Boards of Canada albums out soon!?!?! (allegedly)

i have it on very good authority that the New BOC albums will soon be released (allegedly).

i can;t quite believe that there's going to be TWO but that's what i've been told.

one is allegedly more band-y sounding- while the second is in the usual style.

no need for anyone to comment on this- either it's true and is very exciting news. or it's not.....

yep, i know.

that's why i said it was pointless commenting. i'm just saying what i was told. i was told something else as well but i'm not prepared to share that at this time because i cannot confirm the authenticity of it.

this however I believe to be true.

I have noticed that "soon" could meen anything when its used in a sentance with "BoC".

@ pantheon- very true, it's all relative. tho there have been previous rumblings about a late 2009 release.

@ iec. i know it's a little vague (tho i did provide some details that are new). i cannot mention who it is i have heard from (but this person is in scotland and would be privvy to information like this because of their job- hence the reason i'm inclined to believe it).

@ everyone else. as i said- i have reason to believe it. you think maybe it is bullshit.

let's lock off the thread then- and if/when it happens it can be unlocked?

and no, i will not share the other information as it could have an negative impact. i cannot explain more at this time. sorry.

i've posted what i'm happy posting. as i stated- i was only passing on what i was told. believe me or not. either way, no further correspondence will be entered into!

how's about this- IF and when a new album(s) come out- what would you like it sound like? like "such & such" an album/ep, or different? do you think it needs more kazoo/ bagpipes etc, or should it sound just like previous releases??

think these thoughts would be more interesting than saying what i've posted is bullshit- all will be revealed, then you can say it was bullshit or not.
