yes, most definitely.

I think so too, only because some parts sound really slowed down, others sound on time, meaning you can tell the bongo drums in the beginning when played at 33 1/3 sounds on time and real, but that just means they played it slow when they recorded so they could have it sped up when recording the other stuff (but now that i am listening to it again, it sounds slowed down too). I think it's original speed was to be played at 45 too. It just sounds too slow and drawn out. Oh well it was fun having something new to talk about. lol.

OMFG! I've found new thing - fixing all BoC tracks under 33rpm and choose the best of them )

OMFG! I've found new thing - fixing all BoC tracks under 33rpm and choose the best of them )

Finding reversed parts and reversing them to where they sound normal sounds cool too.

I agree, this is completely baseless mystification when there is a much simpler and more likely explanation - they found some forgotten copies while routing around their archives for Warp20.

hey, i'm drunk so don't expect this to be as exact as i know you guys get.

but yesterday I stood listening to the EP a few times, playing around with both RPM and the pitch-shifter thingybob.... anyways, it kinda seemed to me - and I don't know if i really understand the logic to this, i'm not a musician - that... certain elements of the song play as they would when recorded at different speeds / pitch's. So, for example... at 33 RPM and 8+ shift it seemed to be that the sound of the drum 'Dum-dada-dum-dada-dum' that loops in the first half of the song (i think it's a Djembe) was recorded at that level... but other aspects (e.g voices) weren't, but can be found more clearly at different pitch's / speeds. (i think voices were better at -8 pitch, 33RPM).

One other thing I think I noticed... is somewhere in the last quarter of the song there's a female voice saying 'Yellow', which is the same sound clip used later on Geogaddi... fuck i was listening to the song last night but i can't remember which one, i think it was... dawn chorus. i dno.. anywyas..

someone could probably write a phd on Geogaddi tbh

Assuming I read this correctly, I'm sure that different elements of their tracks were initially recorded at different speeds and pitches. After messing around with tape, downsampling and other tricks for years, that sort of thing is bound to find its way into their music (as it does for many others).
