What is the deal with BoC shows??
Okay, so I've been trying to find history of previous BoC shows, but have come up empty handed. The only real reason for my quest is to give me some glimmer of hope that I will get to see these guys live someday.
So, what is the deal? Do the EVER play? Have they ever done a tour in the States? Though at this point, I'll fly around the fucking planet if I have to.
Have any of you guys ever seen them play? I can only imagine it would be absolutely mind-melting.

Sometimes I get this feeling they will never do another live show again.
From the pics I've seen it looks like they put on a wicked show too. They have numerous instruments and visuals on a backdrop which seems way more entertaining than 2 people just sitting in front of a laptop.
But if they ever decide to play anywhere in North America I will quickly buy a bus or plane ticket to see them and then I'll be able to die a happy man.

Oh man, you've got to have faith! I mean, fuck, if Pink Floyd can get back together for another show (and hopefully a tour!) then I have 100% faith that BoC will play again.
Maybe we should all bombard the folks that organize All Tomorrow's Parties and beg for them to bring Boards back next year.
I recently saw Autechre here in San Francisco--sick, sick show btw--and it was their first US tour in five years. Hopefully the support they received will encourage BoC to do at least a small tour.

Yeah, ya never know what could happen I guess. Since they never played in North America(that I know of) i'm pretty pessimistic about the whole thing. One would have a greater chance of seeing them play if they lived in the U.K. But right now i'm more concerned about the release of this album. I think my hair's getting grey I've been waiting so long. WTF?
realistically, they don't ever have to play again if they don't want to. and dont get me wrong i would sell my right arm to see them live but they stated themselves that they never thought they would have the impact they did. people should be just happy that they have 'released' music. what do you think it would have been like if you had never heard of them at all? and they never existed???
they know they have to meet a high bar in the studio and playing live. so im sure they will when they are ready. it dosen't bug me that much. they are ingenius but thye're not gods and im certain that they don't like to be classed as such.

While they may never have to play again, I am positive that they will. They are musicians...incredibly talented musicians at that, and musicians--as performers--love to perform. Maybe it will only be a handful of shows ever as in the past, but that is okay with me.
I just need one! Just one chance to eat a bunch of LSD and have the Boards disassemble my consciousness piece by piece!

I really hope they'll play live. I don't mind seeing two guys with laptops like the last two times I saw Autechre because that's how the music's done.
I really really hope they play live and if there's anyway to leverage my contact with them, that's what I'll tell them.

Yeah, that's what I read also, but it could just be rumors. I don't know why but I just have a feeling like this may be their last album(I hope i'm wrong) but it would make sense to do a tour as one last hurah and blow the minds of everyone worldwide.Jack.GG wrote:The bloke on WATMM who went to the listening party said he heard whispers to the effect of there is going to be a tour. At least I think he did. I might've dreamt it

For a laugh, when i was getting married i wrote an email to Warp enquiring about booking them. I wonder how it would've gone down if i'd have pulled that one off - Olson as our first dance?
I would travel far and spend alot of money,I think i would go to pretty great lengths. I have a fear that they'll announce something in December, when my wife is due to give birth and i'll have to miss it.

1. their amazing music being played REALLY loud and on a great sound system.
2. seeing them there, as in "holy shit they're only a few feet away from me doing their magic thing!"
