There are two sets of birthdays that are floating around for Mike and Marcus. One is June 1, 1970 (Mike) and July 21, 1971 (Marcus). Wikipedia -- and a bunch of sites that probably copied the data from Wikipedia -- lists this set of dates.
The other set is July 14, 1971 (Mike) and May 27, 1973 (Marcus). The bio on allmusic.com has the second set, and the second set seems to correspond better to references made to dates in various interviews they've given. There's also someone who claims to know/have known BoC as a teenager who says the second set is correct in the Wikipedia history of the BoC article at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Boards_of_Canada#Birth_dates.3F.
Does anybody know which, if either, set of dates is correct?

Two reasons, really. That was the first one. Imagine how embarrassed I'd be if Marcus' gift arrived two months late. The second reason is I was hoping to solicit snarky replies questioning my interest in this minutiae.

I actually am trying to figure out which set of dates is correct. Biographical sites/encyclopedia articles seem to be split, and I thought somebody here might be able to shed some light on it. I fully expected at least one "why would you possibly care about this?" sort of response, though.
