i think some 90% of people the world over don't understand humor. i'm not kidding. i think it's like philosophy, most everyone has a very rudimentary understanding of their worldview, but most people to some degree get their shit mixed up and confused a lot without realizing it. same shit with humor. for every gently prodding, clever, witty, light-spirited comedy piece there are a thousand unwashed idiots who read anger, hatred, and any of their other personal issues or axes to grind into the joke, and they re-tell it again and again all wrong, like going to a museum and seeing a beautiful art piece and then cranking out crayon reproductions.

Ah, yeah, that's just as typical but different from what i was talking about. What ticks me off is how many people laugh their ass off at a joke and love it to death, but think it's funny because it's so bitingly satirical, when really it was just supposed to be silly with an edge.
Case in point, I once drew a picture of a famous cartoon beating the snot out of a little kid with no "point" in mind - just to show the character as suffering anger issues and to be ridiculous, and everyone I showed it to thought the kid was supposed to be a furry I was making some kind of statement about how furries ought to be beaten to death. They loved it. I hated them for loving it. I don't show many funny pictures around anymore.

Would anyone who can, has the time to, and doesn't mind, put this song through magnetic tape distortion? It's a cover of Corsair and I think it would make it perfect. Thanks alot to anyone who can.
