you did quite well on this i think, i own 2 of them, one of them which was mint cost me about 160 british pounds and the other cost me about 50 british pounds.Bobby Markos wrote:thanks for the help everyone! i found the Aquarius 7" on discogs. the person was asking for $105 but I offered $80 and he accepted. what do you think is a good price for this release? I know it's super rare and limited to 500, but still.

"It's been a long time..."
Hello, my 2 cents: I also am a newbie in record collecting and have been lucky enough to get some BOC stuff (Geogaddi promo from warp. Midas touch and Hell Interface stuff from Sister Ray's record store in London, Berwick Street (both GBP10-ish)).
However, i've decided to NOT YET try and collect all the other stuff, because i'm putting it off for as long as I can (probably up to a year or two) - this is in the hope that some re-releases will be issued at reasonable prices. Obvs I know this might not be a high chance, but I have a feeling it's worth holding out for, rather than spending money I honestly don't have on music I already own:)

I've been building up a record collection based mainly on my favourite albums that I already had on MP3/CD.
Got Geogaddi and MHTRTC off Warpmart a couple of years back for about £15 each. My Geogaddi had an extra disc 3 in it (with the etched side) so it's a 4LP! Hi Scores for £12 a few weeks ago - thanks to someone's tip in here.
Listening to vinyl is a religious experience.

I'm selling off my vinyl collection so there's a few bits of Boards come in here:
http://www.vinylexchange.co.uk/
I'm pretty sure they ship internationally.

Check Discogs, they have a few of them for sale, and they're not that expensive eitherBobby Markos wrote:just picked up the Campfire Headphase and MHTRTC on ebay. Things are looking good!
Does anyone here have the Telephasic Workshop 10"? I can already tell this is going to be near impossible to find.

Glad you got it. Discogs is always worth a look, keep it in mind next time you're looking for any elusive records. I recently picked up the Arthur Lipsett 'Soundtracks' LP, the VHS Head 'Video Club' CD, and 'Quantum' LP by Basil Kirchin(released on a label which is one of my many musical obsessions, the mighty Trunk Records).Bobby Markos wrote:GREAT CALL! just bagged one. thanks so much!Aimo wrote:Check Discogs, they have a few of them for sale, and they're not that expensive eitherBobby Markos wrote:just picked up the Campfire Headphase and MHTRTC on ebay. £ 200.00!!!! Why? Way too much in my opinion.
Maybe I'd buy it for $100.00 because it's super rare. But not over $300.00 WOW

yeah, those are japanese shop promos. they still sell a lot of albums on tape here, but i've never seen anything worth buying on cassette in the shop here. would be cool to own. but yeah, the price is kind of rediculous!polar sky wrote:NOT WAX BUT TAPE!
