don`t laugh...but I use Fruity Loops^^ (yeah,thats right).I don`t care if people say its a toy.I can make
better music with this "toy" than most people can with.....qbase or reason...

Nothing wrong with Fruity Loops. It's all about what you do with the tools you have. A lot of the best music is made on the simplest equipment. Hell, I used to multitrack with two cassette recorders, a disconnected erase head and a bit of rewiring.

Great movie. I really like 'Slacker' as well.

Almost all the music I love is created by the abuse of technology. You can bet that those lovely woozy synth sounds we all go for were the last things in the minds of the people who designed and built analogue synths. My other favourite band, My Bloody Valentine, made a career out of making guitars and amps do things they were never supposed to do. So much great art tears up the rulebook before it even begins.

Wisp did NRTHNDR in Fruity Loops. Too talented. Apparently the new Burial record was written entirely straight into Soundforge, but that's almost too implausible to believe; but you can do great things with really minimal gear.

FL is awesome! It was the first sequencer I used before MIDI was implemented into Ableton Live 4 when it came out -- at the time i was running v3.
Too bad there's no OS X version, I cant use it on my powerbook.
Believe me, I have heard many impressive tracks that you would swear that were not done in FL as they, in fact, totally were.

because maybe at one point it gets difficult to work many audio/midi recording tracks and do a flexilble mixing on FL.
i guess you can do all that a lot more easier with software like logic, pro tools or cubase. but in the end you can host FL as a vst plugin on any of those.

i currently use logic for post-production and arrangements but my main writing method is pretty much all done within ableton live. then i record everything and do the final mixing and mastering on logic.

i think as long as you get your idea into an audio recording, its all good in the first place.
i have released a track that was all recorded with a pencil hitting an ashtray, a plastic bottle and a glass.

Thats cool, I`d love to hear that.But do you also create music from your head? Or do you think of a song as you create beats,chords etc.?
