plaid - scintili
"Thanks to everyone who's written about our new album 'Scintilli'. We'll get back to you all at some point. It's taking a while but will be worth the wait. It wont be out before mid 2009 now"
hmmm

VHS Head full length supposedly in Feb or March, cant remember which

I heard animal collective is writing new stuff, so that too I suppose

waiting for physical releases of all that new rephlex stuff too.

i used to like hot hot heat's first album. scenes 1-13 i think it's called. i havent listened to it in years. but yeah, dont feel bad!

one thing about new albums though is the fact that once good artists change their sound and turn crappy. remember how killers were good until 2005? blechh! they turned to pop-bubblegum-y.

that might happen to battles, i hope not. neither do i wish that on INTERPOL.

the new BOC album has me worried. Will it be good? or, will it be new age trash?

-Sean Booth/Mika Vainio/Japanese guy from NHK collaboration
I honestly have NO IDEA what to expect from this. Sean Booth and Mika Vainio are both part of 2 of my 3 favorite electronic groups, and both have explore such a vast library of sound...it could be anything from sine waves and field recordings to industrial dance.

-Pan Sonic's final release is supposedly slated for late January, but their hasn't been any word from them yet.
