First BoC song you EVER heard

Post by Sir Prancelot »

I know that there was a thread about the first one that you heard in this year...but what about of all time?

Also, where did you hear it, when did you hear it, and what was your first impression of it?

For me, the first one I ever heard was Roygbiv, and I thought that it was one of the best things I had ever heard in my life. It was hosted on an internet site that is no longer existing, and it was only two years ago. Relativly, I haven't known about them for a long time, but I feel like it's been longer, almost as if I had been listening to them for years.

Kid Loco's remix of Happy Cycling. Heard it at a dinner party in the background and I've been hooked ever since. I still have the scar on my cheek to prove it.

It was either Dawn Chorus or 1969. Both still some of my favorite BoC songs.

First tune was 'Roygbiv', and I heard it in the summer of 1998, at my mates old house. There were a few of us sitting around listening to music, when he said he was going to play something he thought we'd like. He wasn't wrong. One of those few moments that I can remember exactly were I was, were I was sitting, who else was in the room. It had that big of an impact.

Like ryetronics, Happy Cycling on Kid Loco's DJ-Kicks. Noticed it but didn't go further until I heard Sixtyniner on the radio a couple years later.

It was M9 for me...it was used as the intro to some technology based science program that I only have vague memories of. When I heard the song sometime later and learned it was from BoC a long and unhealthy obsession began. :D

Wildlife Analysis, followed by the rest of the album. Obsession promptly ensued...

Hard to say...A-Ball was the first person to play me BoC and he used to play so much at any given time. I remember hearing Olson and Whitewater and One Very Important Thought. This was around the time The Campfire Headphase was released so I heard most of that album too. And it wasn't too long afterwards that I bought it, and I was forever trapped in the BoC Hexagon of Awesomeness

Happy Cycling on Six Feet Under, although I wasn't a fan at the time.
