You might give Fredd-E a ring. But first watch this because it might guide you into the right direction.Infinite E wrote:A long time ago, like a couple of years, somebody posted a link on here to a site that took a google image search and strobed all the results quickly at you.
Haven't been able to find it again. Does this ring any bells with anyone?

sorry I didn't really word that correctlyAesthetics wrote:I'm not sure why you think this but I do like their first two albums and I'm 100% sure a lot of other users on here as well.Numerator wrote:question: am I the only person who actually likes the first two autechre albums?
what I mean is...if I tell an Autechre fan my favourite album is incunabula - or any early Autechre for that matter, they often dismiss it as being too "simple" and not "intelligent" enough. Personally I prefer my music with intelligible drum samples and simple melodies. Give me Lego Feet over Confield anyday!
if you are reading this you are spending too much time at your computer. go outside and get some fresh air.

I personally do not compare their earlier work to their new work. It's totally different.. the same goes to Afx - SAWI vs Drukqs. To me it's like a total new band which they've developed over the years and each album need their own approach.Numerator wrote:f I tell an Autechre fan my favourite album is incunabula - or any early Autechre for that matter, they often dismiss it as being too "simple" and not "intelligent" enough. But I get your point and it seems like the fanbase of the new Ae is bigger.. I'm more into their earlier work.
If I had to scale how much I like each release it'll probably look like this:
Incunabula = 100%
Amber = 100%
Tri Repetae = 100%
Chiastic Slide = 95%
LP5 = 100%
Confield= 90%
Draft 7.30 = 50%
Untilted= 30%
Quaristice = 60%
Oversteps: ?
Their new work still grow a little bit on each listen.
