Do you really think Aesthetics and me would make a phony MDG into a moderator? We have our perfectly valid reasons to trust him for 300%.
Oh,..I didn't know you guys had a little inside questioning of the guy

The entire site is down as I write this right now.

Speculation time...

Hmm.. strange. Do you mean my ISP might be blocking the site for some reason?

Most likely you're not being blocked, but it might be the nameservers your ISP is using aren't translating the domain name to the correct ip-address for the moment, which implies you can't visit the site anymore. This usually lasts up to 72 hours till everything is synced again.

Try this:

Code: Select all

C:\Documents and Settings\fclaes>ping www.boardsofcanada.com

Pinging www.boardsofcanada.com [82.165.97.200] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 82.165.97.200: bytes=32 time=33ms TTL=46
Reply from 82.165.97.200: bytes=32 time=27ms TTL=46
Reply from 82.165.97.200: bytes=32 time=28ms TTL=46
Reply from 82.165.97.200: bytes=32 time=29ms TTL=46
If you got to your ms-dos prompt and type the exact same command ping www.boardsofcanada.com what ip-address do you get? The one I'm getting is 82.165.97.200 which leads to the actual website.

Is it just me or is anyone gettin gradually pissed off waitin on something to come out either news/update worthy or release from boc?
Its been 5 years now!!!!!!
Come on like! I mean, its Rory Gallagher's birthday today and he's long dead, but the man released 10 excellent albums in the 70's alone!!!!
Why do we keep thinkin/sayin boc are workin hard on new stuff when its obvous that there not really arsed anymore as far as i can see/make out. I know they will release something eventually and i know they have familys etc, but, come on, 5 years people, 5 years!!!!
Do they think there music is that good that a mediocre (tchp) album can last that long without a follow up 2/3 years later?
Every other artist on the warp label release an album every year or two and
there work is just as good or even better! They must think they are 'above' other artists.
Is anyone with me on this?????

(MDG time to get the finger out and give a proper update on your bosses/yourself please)

And for the record, i know there's other music out there besides boc...

Rant over  . Flame away.

Quality over quantity. Music can't be rushed.

You can't be serious.. you might find it mediocre but do you really think BoC do? and do you really think they credit theirselves in that way?

It would take me a lot longer than a gap of five years to produce such a calibre of music. That is all.

Come on man, they are in the public eye, weather they like it or not, the same with all 'celebs'.
They can take a knock from a fan once an a while! I'm not walkin on egg shells on here just because this is a fan site, i'm a fan of them too ya know, am i not aloud to not like an album from them? (i've given tchp a good chance and there is just too many duds in it for me, sorry)
Am i not aloud to be slowly gettin pissed off waitin on a shread of news from my fav group?
All my mates say to me that they dont know why i waste my time with boc anymore as they dont seem to give two shites about there fans in this day-an-age of internet when they can easily say/tweet/quote 'working on music' at least.

You think we've got a long wait between albums? Go read up about another Scottish band called The Blue Nile.

Albums in 1983, 1989, 1996 and 2004. Four albums in 21 years!!!

Compared to this lot, BOC are amateurs...

Why is waiting for an album waisting time? and why don't they give a shit about their fans? mdg is here for a reason...
Besides that, do they really need to update their fans on all their moves?
