Most accesible work?

After listening to some BOC on myspace, i really want to get one of their albums.

Which album would you guys call their most "accesible"? As in, the easiest to get into.

i'd say their EP : In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country. for LP, i'd say The Campfire Headphase.

However, I feel that either Twoism or Music Has the Right To Children is most representative of their work. Enjoy discovering BoC!

The vast majoority of fans fell in love with their classic album called Music has the right to Children. Song ROYGBIV is everybody's favourite - maybe the best electronic track ever recorded.

Personally, I think that The Campfire Headphase is the most accessible, especially if you are fairly new to electronic music. I got the Trans Canada Highway EP first, then I got the Campfire Headphase album, and I feel that I had a pretty good transition into their earlier work.

I'm more into post/prog/alt rock....so a less electronic album might work....

TheCampfire Headphase is def their most accessible work. It's what got me started and I've been a bona fide BoC nut for almost 4 years now

Yea if your coming from prog/alt rock, The Campfire Headphase would definitely be a much easier sit down album. What makes this album so unique is that Boc begins to incorporate guitar into their soundscape, and it really touches up on the nostalgic/retrospective aspects of the album. Personally, I see it as being the "twist" for the album's theme.

I don't think TCH is accessible at all. It's completely focused on melodies and most people would find the beats to be too slow. The only one that I could see as being accessible is Dayvan Cowboy..

I would say the most accessible would be MHTRTC.

I agree that TCH is their most instantly accessible work, very chilled and easy to listen to.

Having said that, I think Music Has the Right to Children is the best starting point to give you a feel for what BoC are all about - it's a seminal record which contains both accessible, tuneful tracks like Roybgiv, Aquarius and Olson sat alongside darker, edgier works like Smokes Quantity, Sixtyten - this record is also great for the shorter vignettes, like Kaini Industries, which are an essential part of BoC.

The Campfire Headphase is definitely their most accessible; I've given it to friends who have loved it, and then got no response whatsoever from some of them when I followed up with Music Has The Right To Children. <________________<

Really, The Campfire Headphase as a whole is pretty great, but hell...when you've got "Oscar See Through Red Eye" it's hard to go wrong.

Try playing it, it's how I discovered BoC. It's got some of BoC's best vignettes in it.

In terms of actual albums, I'm going with everyone else and saying TCH.
