the longer this thread becomes, the longer it takes for BoC to release a new album.

This morning, I looked at my shoe....and I realized that the word 'shoe' contains the letters 'o' and 's'. Then I realized that the word 'boards' also contains the letters 'o' and 's'. Then it came to me:

Shoe. Boards. Gaze. I was GAZING at my shoe, and I thought 'BOARDS' and 'SHOEGAZE'.
Being a very down to earth chap firmly routed in reality I realized that this must be a SIGN!

Boards of Canada are going to make a SHOEGAZE album, so taking things to their logical conclusion,
I ate some toast with alphabetti spaghetti on it, and aranged some of the letters into the words 'shoe', 'gaze' and 'boards'. Then, by converting the letters in to numbers between 1 and 26 I came up with this:

19 8 15 5 7 1 26 5 2 15 1 18 4 19

Next, guided by the God of alphabetti spaghetti (Heinz, a german deity, worthy is his name) I added each group of numbers together using my MAGIC calculator (it isn't actually magic, but it sounds better, doesn't it?):

47 39 59

Then I multiplied these numbers together (obviously, I was being logical you see):

108147

Then I divided this number by 5 (possibly the spookiest of all numbers, because it looks like a swan turning its head round to scratch its arse), and I came up with this:

21629.4

Then it dawned on me, the date. the 21st day of the 6th month, 2029 (at 4 o'clock, brilliant, just before my teatime), this is when Boards of Canada's new SHOEGAZE album will be released!

I'm hoping the will call the album 'Noddy's Magic Custard Magnet' because I'm a purist, but I will live with it if they don't.
Cheers,
Will

Yea, I bet they actually really wanted to release it on 9/9/09 but warp probably pushed it forward because it is rumored that a BoC album released on a repeating number date will bring about the end of the world!!!

They can still make it though, we still have 10/10/10, 11/11/11, and 12/12/12.

101010 is too digital for analog lovers like BoC, that rules out next year too. So Dec 2012 it is...

'Noddy's Magic Custard Magnet', coming soon on Pi-Tunes, the eternal unravelled circle online distributor, everything costs 3142.3333333333333333333 Euros (a bit like iTunes, but hey, it's the future, it is 2029 now after all, also cheese is used as fuel for cars now).

Cheese.

Pi.

Custard.

Noddy.

Will

I wouldn't shed a single e-tear if this thread got locked.

I know it's supposed to be a big joke and nobody's trying to offend anyone but seriously, the guy's head exploding is gross. If you think I'm being ridiculous, consider me picking my nose and wiping it on your eyeball. I may not find it gross, but if you do, I shouldn't be doing it. Can we please stop posting that? It's making me not want to visit Twoism cause I know it's gonna be all over. And every time Hexagon Son makes a post.

Should we make a poll about it? I'm serious because this thread got discussed by the crew as it's something we don't prefer but we don't want to spoil the fun either and if this topic got locked then another similar topic would pop up soon.
On the other hand, if we interrupt too much we don't do any good either... as you might've noticed lately. So perhaps it's time to start a poll to see what the users has to say about this?

The purity is what distinguished Twoism from other messageboards and something we should be proud of, right?
