Anybody doing anything creative?...

Post by Scatterbrainkida »

For some reason, I just assume you're all a creative bunch such as I who may be in the middle of doing something cool and creative...

As for me....I've been writing a book...a novel...so far it's coming out real neat....

but anyways, I am more interested in what everyone else is doing here....so what's everyone up to??

Creative, well September 2003 I decided to go back to college and study Art As-Level I finished the course in June 2004 and got myself a big fat 'A' !! I began the A2-Level course in September and have just finished my first project.

First time I did 2 projects and an exam, producing 3 large posters depicting an advertisement for a museums exhibition of masks from different cultures, for the graphic design element of the course then Large painting based on my trip to Maida Vale to meet John Peel and listen to a live set by Dave Clarke. The exam piece was an A2 size soft pastel picture of a strange graveyard near where I live.

My first project of this term(just completed) is a 7 foot by 2 foot painting of a HUGE wave, ironically just completed over Xmas. Each of the projects come with large sketchbooks full of critical studies and drawings and studies. I have also produced mountains of photography work.

I guess you could say Ive been very creative. I will take some photos some time and let you all have a nosy, if Im feeling brave.

oh my goodness, you all are very creative, and it sounds like a lot of you are into creating music, I think that is so awesome. I really havn't done anything creative lately.. I am in highschool just trying to get through my stupid homework.. but I do like to do silly things like knit.. and make collages- they usually turn out really neat. and other then that, I like to take pictures, but I am more of a person picture taker? I think that makes sense :)

Well, to excavate this thread,

I'm into music production too. It's been a year or so since my last project. I'm taking my time. And it's been more than 2-3 years since my last creative period. I used to write 4-5 tracks per semester. Now it's hardly 2 tracks a year. Pffff, tell me more about the early thirties...

Started to 'put myself out there' for some possible freelance illustration work. Really need the experience and money.
My aunt (a designer) has already linked a lot of people to my page. I may be doing a children's book sometime soon!

I do games programming, which is a different sort of creative I suppose. Most recent thing I did was this game with PixelJam.

I am recording a demo using laptop noodlings and a 4-track recorder :)

I usually write songs and stories but have no discipline to write a full book yet. Last year I won an award for a short story I wrote!

I don't know if you can count it as creative but in uni next year I am doing 4 languages as part of Latin American studies in Liverpool. Looking foreward to that!
