Who's the surfer on the "Dayvan Cowboy" video?

Maybe the final image of a surfer on the "Dayvan Cowboy" video,

I don't know exactly - maybe because of the blonde hair.
He's on a special surfboard, used in "tow-in surfing" for big waves.
The only thing, is this tow-in surfing technique was only used since the 90´s, I think, and the image look more older than that - maybe because a of image/film treatment.
What do you think?

There's quite a bit of Laird in the documentary 'Riding Giants', which has some astonishing surfing in it. Well worth checking out.

Laird Hamilton. He was also the "bad surfer" in that movie "North Shore". He's been around so long and he looks pretty much the exact same. I think he maybe part machine.
