Figured it all out (honest).
They're living in Arctic Russia, partying with friends and enjoying making some lo-fi beats with the latest in Russian percussion devices.
Don't believe me? Check this out.
Apologies in advance to Patrick Ludamage. Извините Patrick, я пошутил!

oh my god, SIDENOTE: I wish I could be there. I seriously just want to take a world tour of arctic tundra, and just explore all of northern Russia's interior.Mexicola wrote:Figured it all out (honest).

If that wasn't BoC, who was it cuz they were laying down some sweet beats. I'd be curious to know more...

I was just playing around on Google Earth, found (yet another) far-North radar station and started snooping. Found a reference to the You Tube clip above. Just some bored looking comrades on the Vodka I reckon, and good luck to them I say.

So. The title of a thread makes me WTF? There was a such good flood messages - that's why i didn't saw the whole thread at all. In anyway - if you want to know or just intrested in some Russian things - you can ask me, but i don't know so much - only at the limited boards of my knowlege )
Huh, interesting, cuz this is how i've always imagined BoC's music being made. Bit by bit all out in the country side.I was just playing around on Google Earth, found (yet another) far-North radar station and started snooping. Found a reference to the You Tube clip above. More like in the last few years people have realised that there's a buck to be made in charging through the nose for sample rights.hexagon son wrote:i guess BoC have become too popular for their own creative good! i'll bet the samples are so fucking subtle no one would have noticed anyway. thats really annoying.

The last few years? How about since about 20 years ago?MrMessiah wrote:More like in the last few years people have realised that there's a buck to be made in charging through the nose for sample rights.hexagon son wrote:i guess BoC have become too popular for their own creative good! i'll bet the samples are so fucking subtle no one would have noticed anyway. thats really annoying.
There's some samples on the Old Tunes which would need clearance... But not the newer stuff. Everyone knows it's not worth sampling unless you have the money to get clearance and anyway it's not even BOCs style nowadays to sample other peoples records. It's all about sampling their own recordings.
