Dry spells, for me, are a sign of turning tides. Don't get depressed...do different things. Ride a bike, play board games, pick up a new instrument, your new sound will be just around the corner.
Flamingo pudding was born out of a dry spell.

true enough. I've been diverting my energies elsewhere. I've already opened my mind to the possibility that the next thing I create musically might not even be Boreal.

What do you guys do during your dry spells, or to get re-inspired during them?
I tend to not do anything at all music related for a few days, clear my head, and let it fill up with sounds... and then it just comes back at a really random time. And sometimes, I force myself to create even though I don't "feel it" so to speak, which usually brings about interesting results. Most of the time bad, but sometimes there are those gems.
What do you guys do?
EDITED - SPELLING
I do the same. Stepping back from it for a day or two and listening to some artists I haven't in awhile really helps. Gives me a fresh perspective when I come back to it.
