All "leaks" so far are nothing but fake.
End of story, for now ^^

I heard this one a few days ago, and it really beat that 1st crunchy synth fake. I actually like a few of the tracks on this one, especially the piano and morphed horn track. Beats were rather simple, but it was alright. Not bad song arrangements. Not that I think its real, but this was alright. Did get me thinking at certain times that it could be real.

MJed5150: Check out Freescha! They've made the majority of the tracks on that fake.. (I won't say all because I didn't recognize some of them.. and I haven't heard even half of Freescha released material either.. so I am not the one to judge hehe)

Patience is a virtue. We've all waited this long for the new album, what's two more months?

I really like this phrase, I hope you don't mind if I use it as my signature for a short while?

...from the mailinglist of www.toothpastefordinner.com:

and in other news, boards of canada was legally required to change the
cover design for their new album. canada threatened to sue them if they
didn't change the album name from "the campfire tragedy" or whatever
they wanted to call it. i have posted the new design for your
convenience.

There are already 3 different leaks out there on slsk.

Two of them are 320kbps encoded and the third one I've downloaded has got mixed bitrates (VBR - 128 - 192 - 256)

All three of them don't sound like BoC except for the last one I've downloaded which actually contains some old tunes renamed.

beware the friendly fakes :)

No real deal out there yet.

I was reacting the same as you the first time I've heard The Campfire Headphase. I regret those negative feelings toward that hard-to-get-into masterpiece. :(

i actually loved this album from day one. the fact that they changed the style so radically and yet retaining that boc feel (whatever that is) made me quite glad. i would have liked it less if it sounded the same as geogaddi or mhtrtc.
