Since the last album was released, I..
Here's a fun game that makes you realise just how utterly ridiculous this wait for a new album is.
Since the last album was released, I finished university, got my first "real" job, met the girl who would later become my wife, had my wisdom teeth removed, became addicted to opiates, got married, got diagnosed with generalised anxiety disorder, destroyed my car's bumper three times, nearly cheated on my wife with a girl 10 years younger than me, recorded and released a vinyl record, tried to learn japanese, bought my first house and realised I have a drinking problem.

I have lived 4 years in Paris, having my first Job too, discovering the women, making hundred songs, discovering vinyl, alcohol, seeing Time going faster, desillusion, writing one book and undred of short story and 3 unfinished book, loving geogaddi...By the Way where Can I hear your music ? And where can I buy one of your vinyl ?
Blank. After releasing Silhouette Birds, my parents got a crazy divorce, my father went insane practically kicking me out of the house.
Lived with my aunt for a couple of months, lived with my brother for a couple of months, got my first apartment, got diagnosed with a light case of schizophrenia, went totally insane in social isolation and lovelessness, released Infinate Detail, became a bum for a month or 2, moved in with my mother after she landed into ER becouse of a fire (thats a whole nother story), released Growth, I found the love of my life, moved in together, released Killing Your Darlings, got a descent job, got engaged with the love of my life, got a musicians-writers-block, got depressed becouse of it, adjusted my life from depressed-crazy to fun-crazy, Flamingo Pudding was born, neirly broke my back and now I'm rehabilitating at home.
Allot of shit can happen in 3 years.

Since Campfire/Trans Canada, I changed my major, graduated from college, got a weekend job, started going to tech college, changed my major THERE, dated two of my friends, broke up, dated a guy for the first time, broke up, cut my hair, released a bunch of music, entered a musical slump, went to the Bahamas and kissed a dolphin, lost all interest in doing psychedelics, quit heavily drinking and quit smoking weed.

First girlfriend, first time being drunk, first time doing drugs, first time I smoked (to BoC as well!). What I wanted to do in school/life changed massively too. My dad left the country, played my first festival (alongside Pendulum!), made musak my "thing", won an award for my writing. On my way for getting a job and moving out!
Fuck me that's a lot of stuff... could think of way way more if I tried

Lost my V card, was destroyed when that relationship ended, finished high school, moved 3 times, started drinking heavily, indulged in illegal substances, wrecked my car, lost my job, grew my hair WAY long, cut it, grew it again, adopted a kitty, and almost killed myself because of no BoC news

Moved to Utah, 'sprained' my wrist snowboarding, changed jobs twice, moved across town, moved to california, moved to yosemite, met my current girlfriend, followed her to kansas (to finish school), moved back to yosemite, changed jobs twice, had my perception of reality rocked too many times to remember, finally lost my first car to a blown transmission, western road trip--all summer, moved back to utah, looked for work for half a year, found work, switched jobs twice, had wrist surgery (was not sprained, but actually broken all those years), and here i am, looking to move again.
when you put it in those terms, it's actually been a looong time, eh?
then again, i wasn't any kind of boards 'fan' when new material was released. all my boc discovery has come after the excitement of even the last ep. kinda looking forward to entering new discussions/threads about future material BEFORE it's all old and tramped over.

Since the last album was released, I finished high school, lived in London for 2 months, grew my hair, stopped eating junk food, explored alternative news sources, got angry at consumerism, opened my mind, got a job as a waiter, met a girl, first romance, started a degree in graphic design, was broken up with, took up photography, turned 21, explored myself, had a first boyfriend, regressed to the age of 16, reached the end of a toxic relationship, joined twoism.org, grew the fuck up, lost some friends, cut out drugs and excessive drinking, fell in love with a boy, touched a cheetah, did 2 album covers for local bands that are now in stores nationwide, made some ambient music, graduated from my college, road tripped, walked with elephants, took up oil painting classes, booked a plane ticket to Chicago... and here I am!
Bring on some more BoC and lets see where we grow from there.

Since the last album was released, I got into it three months after it was released. I graduated university. I painted the trim for a house and did the tile work. I was left by a girl that was a friend for two years. I was a teacher aide, I was a painter... I dabble in cocaine, and alcohol, I moved from one state to another. I wallowed in the mire... I also went to a my bloody valentine concert in Dallas, first concert ever... i thought alot... and etc.
Silvania.

i started expanding my musical interests (previously, i listened to eminem and blink-182) by listening to neutral milk hotel and radiohead; saw all my friends move far away; brother came out of the closet, got kicked out of the house, then moved back in; made new friends, started playing piano again, joined a band; went to my first concert; became an atheist; discovered boards of canada; started writing my own music; fell in love; fell out of love; stopped my best friend from killing himself; almost got arrested (many, many times); graduated high school; moved in with my friend and his family; my family moved to florida; my parents got divorced; got kicked out of my band; moved back in with my dad; got a job; got into college. plus a million other things.
i barely remember who i was back then, or what i stood for, or anything. it's like i've lived my entire life since the last boc album. crazy.
