The free stuff thread
I thought this might be a cool idea, so join in if you want. The idea is basically to let people have your old stuff for free if they pay for the postage and packaging.
First up, my first gen xbox with a usb port, pre-softmodded and I'll throw in splinter cell and halo 2 if you would like. All cables/s controller included. The only thing is the USB port looks a bit whack, and my wiring job should probably be redone as I only used electrical tape, but I've used it as a media box (with XBMC) for hours, hours and more hours and it's never failed.

Nice idea.
I have boxes full of old LP's. Mostly crap, but there's also 50 or so classical records. People who live in the Maastricht region can pick them up for free.
Also a bunch (8?) of extremely rare south-korean movies on DVD, including 1 porn. Maybe we could trade for something interesting.

ok next up is an xbox 360 with rrod. here's something i was going to use for the ebay ad but i figured i'd throw it up here first incase anyone wants a shot...
edit : btw, my first-gen xbox has now been taken.I bought this 360 a couple of months ago as a faulty unit and intended to repair it. The original seller had already attempted to repair it. I opened it up several times and reapplied the X-Clamp kit and thermal paste. I worry that I may have damaged the chips due to excessive overheating. I've also damaged some of the plastic clips along the back of the casing and cracked the case slightly along the back.</p><p>
This XBox is in a sorry state and I can't for the life of me figure out what the problem is. It is now giving the RROD code 0110 (although I'm sure it was a different code originally). I did remove the pads that were below the 4 (memory?) chips as I mistakenly thought these were applied during the previous owners repair attempt.</p><p>I would guess that it is beyond repair, and so am selling the unit without any cables/accessories. Because of the state, I am offering no guarantee or refund of any kind, selling it as faulty and please no negative feedback. If you have any questions ask away.</p><p>By the way, the repairs attempted were the X-Clamp several times, the penny trick several times and the towel trick several times

I have a roland JS-30 sampling workstation. It still works. You might want to get a scsi-HDD if ou want to make good use out of it (otherwise it erases everything if you pull out the plug).
Reason: Its big and clunky and everything it does I can do on my computer only better.
Price: Its free, but I liked Shadowshockers idea of an airfare thing.
Please don't get this thing just to leave it in the dust like I have.

Hey Cupz... I would definitely get some use out of that, I've been looking for a tight-budget hardware sampler recently. Already got a couple of old SCSI hds kicking around so that shouldn't be a problem
Problem is, I already took Hex's first gen xbox (thanks again man!) so I'll give someone else priority on this. If nobody wants it i am therrre though

Are you sure man? I'd really love a hardware sampler no matter how bad..Infinite E wrote:Hey Cupz... I would definitely get some use out of that, I've been looking for a tight-budget hardware sampler recently. Already got a couple of old SCSI hds kicking around so that shouldn't be a problem
