It looks like the problem is not with PSN but with the old "fat" PS3s internal clock. It's a bug in the firmware. The new "slim" models are unaffected because the firmware was built into the system.

Never fear, though, the Sony tech people are hear. Apparently they were immediately aware of the problem and are working even as we speak.

Good news.

Beat Heavy Rain today. Besides some sound glitches the game is a must play for any PS3 owner. Such a moving and addictive game. The fighting scenes are pretty intense.

Fucking stoked now for GoW III after watching this. Damn.

It seems like they didn't take into account leap years thus the clock has completely screwed itself. Hope the problem rectifies soon, I just purchased Ultimate Team for FIFA before it went down and haven't had chance to play it yet, FIFA won't work at all as it cannot retrieve trophy information.

It seems to be working now. I'm logged onto PSN and I've synced the time with the internet, which I couldn't do while the bug was in effect. Still no word from Sony saying that it's working though.

Heavy Rain, here I come!!

So I beat Heavy Rain. Awesome game! The twists and turns in the story was pretty damn good.

Now I'm off to pick up Final Fantasy XIII.

I was so so severely dissapointed with FF13, words cannot describe! :( I played about 15 hours worth before completely giving up and have no desire to ever play it again. I can see why people would like it, but for me it's not what Final Fantasy should be, I found it nothing more than a fancy CGI movie with battles in between unfortunately.

Really? That's too bad. According to Joyrex, the game only really picks up after 25 hours of gameplay as stated in some reviews.

Okay, so im about 27 hours into FFXIII and I must say, it's pretty good. The story is decent. The graphics are great. The battle system is awesome.

Once I'm done with FFXIII, I'm on to finish God of War 2, then GoW3.

So I finished FFXIII. Great game!

GoW2 is freezing on me constantly so I'm gonna play Killzone 2 until my PS3 decides it'll let me play GoW2 again.

I've got the launch day PS3 which apparently has problems with the God Of War Collection. So it may be a while till I finish the GoW series. Which sucks...

I've got Little Big Planet to play too.

I beat God of War 3. Bloody awesome game!!!

I just bought Red Dead Redemption and ModNation Racers.

I'm a few hours into Red Dead. It's a damn good game so far. Like GTA except in an old western setting. I can see myself putting a lot of time into it.

ModNation Racers looks awesome. Like LittleBigPlanet except a racing game. I definitely see myself putting hours and hours of time into its creative side.

Yeah Red dead is one of the best game ever, with intelligence and great dialogues and characters. We can recognize the talent of the Houser writing style. Beautiful game, fun with a lots of things to do. Much better than any western movie since Dead man.

We have to make a gang 747 !

So my launch day PS3 finally broke. The blu-ray drive went and wont read any discs anymore. So I bought myself the 250Gb PS3 today.

I'm gonna try to fix my old PS3 and sell it. It's the 60Gb version, fully backwards compatible, has all the media card slots, and has 4 USB slots (as compared to the new PS3s which only have 2)

Once fixed, I'm gonna sell it for about $200-$250. They are going on ebay for about $300, but I'm not that greedy.

So if anyone is interested, I'll keep you posted.

I'm sorry to hear that. How old was your PS3? Mine was since launch day, so it was 4 yrs old.

I was lucky enough to have just my blu-ray drive go. So I was able to transfer all of my data from my old PS3 to my new one.
