This one at 1.02

And this one at 1.03

A long time ago I noticed the different percussion on those versions. The second one is the version of Hi Scores. Does somebody know where the first version is from? Old tunes?
I like the first one the best. Sounds more genuine, more like the track was meant.
The (extra?) percussion on Hi Scores version doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the track.
What do you guys think?

Anyway I love this track. One of my favorites.

I think they're both the same but the first link has atrocious audio quality.

Your first link is from an MP3 version of the tune or an original press of Hi Scores.
The second link is from the remastered/repressed version. You hear the missing high percussion and synthy stabs in link one if you listen carefully. It's just very muted.
Yeah, that could be, but howcome only that part is extremely muted, and the rest isn't, or not so much. It doesn't make any sense..
Anyway, I prefer the first muted version. Sounds more complete.
Which one do you guys prefer?
