Ok,but i'm right on this one Fredd-e.....but id loved to be proved wrong lol..........wow how many members will get a copy???? hmm.........
Well, if you are serious about that then add me to the vinyl list. :D

Of course, I'm still going to buy myself a copy- at least this way the band gets more money :D

...Actually, maybe that's what they've been waiting for? I wonder if someone at Warp will read your post and say "YES! Finally someone made a bet like this! Guys, we need to release it NOW!!"

Without wanting to just offend anybody, just an observation I feel is true...

...I think a large contingent of BoC fans have a "center of the universe" paranoia psychology that makes them prone to seeing conspiracy everywhere, even in the band they like (no I don't mean the joke about the vinyl-bet-triggered-release-date, I mean the real feelings that joke is parodying)

I mean it makes sense, given the band specifically catered to the kind of ears that listen hungrily for hidden numbers station samples for a period of time, and now it's got that kind of element in its following, it just kind of results that way, I'm not saying anyone should have to do anything about it. Ok, if I pad this post with "no offenze doodz" anymore it's going to be an essay instead of the offhand remark it started off as

I think it's more a case of "people who like Boards of Canada really want to hear more Boards of Canada and the silence is deafening" syndrome.

hi retrodreaming :)

i personally think that the album will not drop this year.

or maybe i really think it will but i'm lying to myself to not get my hopes up?

it's been so long with all these rumors swirling around that I don't know for sure.

Some of you guys disgust me. Listening to Boards of Canada is a privilege. If this band is important to you guys as it is to me then you should think before you post again. I could probably babble for hours all the things this music has shown me and what other music I have discovered all because of BoC. This music is timeless, like a dream. I shouldn't have to explain this, since I think we're all pretty much devoted fans on this forum. Be content with what you have. Think more positively and be content with the all the MASTERPIECES these guys have already released. If your selfish enough to think you're entitled to anything I believe you are mistaken. I'm thankful enough that they have released this music in the first place. It's had such a huge positive impact on my life I am forever grateful for discovering something as down-to-earth and nostalgic as them. Complaining will get you nowhere.

Some of us have been her for a long time, not talking about myself, since I'm still pretty new, but saying you get disgusted by some of us, is pretty harsh I think. Furthermore, I know for sure that people dont think we are entitled to anything they make, we just would be very glad if they would release something again. Ur all putting it in the wrong way, it's not like people are angry at them or shit, some have just moved on, and others are just waiting eagerly. Me, I'll just discover loads of other shit till the new BoC comes, but I am still waiting.

Lets not argue at the sunrise here, it will come when it comes, regardless of what we say, even if that's "fuck me it's dark".

the snozberries taste like snozberries, snozberries, who ever heard of a snozberrie

that is all im saying
A clearance in a wooded area, you startle a deer, it runs into the pines. Vast turquoise lakes and icy rivers, crisp mountain air. A bald eagle soars above. The distant sound of a chainsaw. Redwood smoke

I just think it's pretty pathetic to come on here and whine is what I meant. Selfishness does disgust me. I don't like when people think the world revolves around what they want, how they want, when they want.

And 'some of you have been waiting a very long time'... tough, I've been waiting just as long as the next guy to hear their new stuff. You're not alone...

It's all good. This happens from time to time, no big and nothing new here.

Stry Craty Bya has a point, so does portiss, and so does MrMessiah.

But i think Tenfoureightytwo put the nail in this argument's coffin.

There is no reason to close it right now, should there be a reason then I will move the topic to the trashbin and resurect it once the new album is out. I can't afford people not getting their copy, I have a heart too ;)
