its a great track, phasen. I love how you're the only one doing these old-school 4/4 house beats on these forums.

You leave allot of room with every instrument, great for mixing...but can feel a little dry and emotionless every now and then. And...I feel some sample loops in there shouldn't be looped. (that high "G F# G F# G F#G F# G F#G F#" synth got on my nerves).

great track nonetheless. It makes me wanna ride a sand-buggy in post-apocalyptic Russia.

Nice track Phasen, definitely sounds like a track that could be played in a club set. Just from hearing what you've got in the mix I'm able to imagine how nice it would sound if you start to slow things down toward the end.

I'm finding myself starting to go off into the "four on the floor" style. I must ask from a business side of things (like I'll ever get signed, ha!) is there still a market for house music or is it all but dead? I really haven't heard anything that's reminded me/ been of the quality of the early Chicago house scene since well... the early Chicago house scene. And right now, that's the music that's really inspiring me.

Treefingers- I apparently lied when I said I'd listen to your music... sorry about that, a load of work hit me unexpectedly. "Time Lapse Sun" sounds very nice. The intro kinda reminds me of a track from Selected Ambient Works 2, I don't think I'd listen to an entire album of songs like it, but it's still nice.

"Cold Loops" is a nice idea as well. I'm not liking the "clicks" I'm hearing at points, it sounds like the end of a loop? Try to watch out for that. Looping is fine, but you don't want the listener to realise that's what you are doing

I LOVED the sound that the track faded out on.

"Swirlynoisetemplechurch" is probably my favourite. I feel it repeats itself a little too much in the middle. 3:40 onward is very nice. I'm loving the drums- you might want to try increasing the volume of them slightly?

Something's come up so I'll listen to the rest of the songs later (I won't say "tomorrow" because we all saw what happened last time

)

Dude, House music is back and better than ever. Not only is there a market for it, it is absolutely oversaturated. Down here in Florida we have some huge scenes in Miami/Orlando/Tampa/Gainesville etc that are really fun, but Germany still is of course huge for the clubs with Italy being the most surprising and high rising locale as of late.

If you like Chicago type house, check out the Italian label called Cecille. Some old-schoolish housey vibes there. I'd suggest you go on beatport and just snoop around in the various house charts and listen to previews of tracks to find your taste. The bigger, more commercial labels on the more housey side of techno seem to be Cecille, Toolroom, Defected, Noir Music, etc. Check em.

If you like BoC try out the stuff on Soma Quality Recordings. Very 'electronic', trippy, more ambient/musical house and techno.

This remix is turning out quite good actually. I know dance'y 4/4 isn't the most beloved format here on the forums, but it does sound quite unique.

edit: mind you my new headphones still haven't arived... apparently it didn't stop me from making music. Its actually quite an eye-opener.

Regarding what I'm working on -- it's amazing what you can get out of a guitar just by turning the amp up, turning the treble down, and just messing with the tremolo arm.

I've been working on a number of tracks trying to push acid to it's outer limit with polyrhythms and some unconventional tribal sounds. Here is one I've called "Dreamlet" for now. Still needs to be properly mixed in the studio, but it's close enough for you guys to preview.
