If anyone here's into Casino Versus Japan, I just thought I'd put the word out that he's a new album of old unreleased stuff that just came out and its quite trippy, quite ambient, and unusually creative yet minimal. Shit's cool. I think this guy has like a time machine where he goes to the future to see what music sounds like and comes back and then makes it like ten years before its really supposed to come out. Seriously.
Listen to this track from 2000 from an album called Go Hawaii. This could come out now and it would be spot on brilliant. To come out 10 years ago? Fucking impossibly cool.
Anyways, his new album is called 'Night On Tape' . It's all really ambient night-themed tracks. Pretty interesting from what I've heard so far. His upcoming new album of all brand new tracks is releasing later this year and it's gonna be huge. You can say I warned you first. Just watch.

Yes, and "whole numbers play the basics" is a really good one too. Home to my fav "Making Lake Park In The Sun"tmesis85 wrote:Go for 'Go Hawaii' in my view. Such a playful vibe throughout.Numerator wrote:I wish to get into Casino Vs Japan
what does everyone reccomend as a good starting point?
Go now...listen to it....NOW!
EDIT: 2222nd post
Whole Numbers is also great but slightly more washed-out if that makes sence. Yeah Lake Park is a tune. So is the first track 'Single Variation of Two'. Great opener...747Music wrote:Yes, and "whole numbers play the basics" is a really good one too. Home to my fav "Making Lake Park In The Sun"tmesis85 wrote:Go for 'Go Hawaii' in my view. CVsJ's self-titled is also worthy but Go Hawaii seems to have the best of each in my view.

yeah I saw the old thread but I only looked at the old date of the first post and didn't page through all of it so I didn't see the mention of Night on Tape, only talk of a new album. My bad, mang.turquoise70 wrote:Many, many CvsJ fans on here, including myself. More name recognition for Casino Versus Japan is never a bad thing, and if just one person on this site has learned of CvsJ because of this thread my mission was accomplished.
