Could "in the studio" mean rehearsal for live performance?

My assumption is that BOC are always in the studio. It's their job.
That's what I was thinking.

I'm optimistic
I consider this as something
Considering it as news would suppose it containing more than one statement. Since it's only one statement I have to consider it as new rather than news.

Exactly. It's all bullshit till warp or boc announces it.

You (and other non-believers) might want to read my previous post.

Do you really think most bands (including BoC) care to maintain (or have time to do) their online presence activities themselves? They have those community sites (myspace, facebook, last.fm, twitter, newsletters,...) sorted by other people. Friends, family, pr people of the label or basically anyone else except for themselves. Is that such a hard concept to grasp?

The same has to be taken into account for BoC. They actually have a couple of friends maintaining these sites. Altogether they form their community outlet on the internet. Accept that fact for once instead of calling it bullshit all the time. Show some respect.

I actually view it as pretty significant.

However, a 'new album release forthcoming' comment might have been nicer...

Out of curiosity I translated the longest arabic mood to dutch and it gave 'sun of the new decisions' I see you came out 'sun new resolutions'. Guess google translate is still working on it's arabic :)

Respect indeed (bit further in this topic) So obviously around may 2009 there where decisions made... Gonna reward myself with a cup of coffee now!

I've read all of those before, I know all about it. Chill out Freddy, we're all entitled to our own opinion. I am not going to bust a nut because some person maintaining a myspace site said they were in the studio. I believe you that it's an official myspace BoC update by someone that is doing it for them, weather it be a friend or someone one working at warp. But, I'd rather wait for some more "Official" news from Warp or on BoC's actual site. People go over board with very little news. Oh and who should I be showing respect too? BoC? Hahaha. I buy their albums, and know they are very talented hard working musicians, that's more than enough respect in my eyes.

Didn't mean to piss ya off there man, I like ya! We all get flustered over a new BoC album! We all want it right now!

You sure are entitled to your own opinion but sometimes it's better to think twice before venting some bold and untrue statements.

Ok, you've made clear you believe it's done by someone related to the band. Great. That's one thing. What if you were told he/she belongs to the same group of people who also maintain the www.boardsofcanada.com site? Think about that for a second. ;-) So basically you lay more trust in the site location where the adjustment is made rather than who actually made the adjustment. And that's a flawed logic in some way don't you think.

But I do agree if you combine 1) the person who makes the adjustment and 2) the adjustment being made on www.boardsofcanada.com then we do have an even bigger newsworthy item. But keep in mind the myspace page is official too and is linked on their other official sites. It doesn't make it less interesting to me.

Anyways no harm intended! :D
