Flying Lotus - Cosmogramma

Im new to Flylo, should I get this album or Los Angeles first? They both sound pretty good...

I'd actually recommend Los Angeles as an intro... but that's just me. ACtually, now I think about it, I can't work out which of all his 3 albums I like best @_@

Same, Los Angeles is a good place to start, gives you some foundations of what FlyLo sounds like, while Cosmogramma takes the foundations of L.A. and turns it on its head.

I've been listening to both of them and I think I will go with L.A. since its easier to get into than cosmogramma. thanks!

If you liked 1983 or Reset, I would definitely suggest checking out his lesser known Raw Cartoons and July Heat albums. Really shows his progression in full scope.

Just woken up from last night - caught FlyLo play 'Infinity' at the ICA in London. Anyone else go?! Was awesome to see... but if i'm gonna be brutally honest i've gotta say they didn't seam as tight as I think they wanted to be in parts... but it totally came together in parts and the magic was happening.

I love this guy and with Cosmogramma he really put his standards way higher. I didn't think it was possible after Los Angeles but Cosmogramma is by far the best album I heard in a long, long time.

Flying Lotus Update!

The Infinity guys got together for a Maida Vale session - beautiful stuff, really shows up the fantastic composition in Cosmogramma. Just follow the link. Also listen to the interview - apparently some treats are on the way for all those who bought Cosmogramma

As well as that, there's a stunning video for Zodiac Shit that's just come out.

Flying Lotus is like the Jimi Hendrix of electronic music, just came in out of nowhere and broke all the rules and made everything amazing.

Very good album I got to say. I think its great that there is something new in his sound..experimenting does not hurt! And tha Zodiac Shit musicvideo is EPIC!
