sorry, i wasnt using a translator when i typed that, it's my own honest to goodness shit japanese. i was just trying to say that your attitude leaves one with the worst feeling (not unlike being physically ill, i guess). but you know what? as much as i was trying to be nice about the photos, they are kind of funny! the portrayed image doesnt suit the music at all!The Voice of Reason wrote:White ghost was for you. Biter is for horne.
I did open with proper crit, but when I saw those photos, I was BLOWN away at the depth his bites will go. That guy knows no bounds.
Make sure your translation carries over properly. I made sure mine translated back to english in a comprehensible manner. I still don't know what you tried to say.

And the attitude towards Mr.Horne that I portray is supposed to do exactly that, as his music makes me feel just as bad.

so your saying the few tracks that he has that are truly shining moment aren't worth paying for all the other mediocrity he has put out? i guess you would be in more of a position to say so than myself as i only own one of his albums. i guess thats one of the nice things about iTunes. you can pick and choose. As I stated above though, his most recent album with "dirty sun" isn't available on iTunes japan. i sifted through some of the other tracks on it via youtube and they didn't really stir me. but white ghost eh?
what makes you think i am white? (you are correct!)

I don't want to derail this conversation you guys are having but I just want to point out that a lot of people feel this way about Aphex Twin.hexagon son wrote:so your saying the few tracks that he has that are truly shining moment aren't worth paying for all the other mediocrity he has put out?

The "white ghost" thing was a joke.hexagon son wrote:so your saying the few tracks that he has that are truly shining moment aren't worth paying for all the other mediocrity he has put out? i guess you would be in more of a position to say so than myself as i only own one of his albums. i guess thats one of the nice things about iTunes. you can pick and choose. Yes, iTunes is great for that. I just like having the complete albums. An album can make an impression on you at a later time. The first few times might not be the ideal situation or moment to hear it. Things change. You may hear it differently another time. Or tunes I don't necessarily like on a given album may sound better when randomized with other tunes.
But Christ.'s music never gets better. Infact, the tune I pointed out the other day "Ritalin", after listening a few more times got worse. Towards the end, the percussion starts to get sloppy, almost hap-hazard. Its actually a pretty weak track.
I've given the music a fair shake. But even after all this time, it just doesn't get any better for me.
I'm not quick to dismiss music. I'll keep the albums I bought and the tunes will stay in rotation. One day they may grow on me. But to date, I find I'm compelled to skip to the next tune as his music grates on me in the most negative way. Add the lifted image, and I don't see things improving.

you know, i'll probably get stoned to death for saying this here, but i found the exact same thing with Bola's Fyuti album. It never really clicked with me, and even to this day, while i dont hate the album per say, i can never find a mood in which to listen to it where i would enjoy it more. As for Christ.... perhaps i should check out more of his stuff, just to see where i stand on the whole. owning one of his albums hasn't compelled me to buy any more of them. The Voice of Reason wrote:The "white ghost" thing was a joke.hexagon son wrote:so your saying the few tracks that he has that are truly shining moment aren't worth paying for all the other mediocrity he has put out? i guess you would be in more of a position to say so than myself as i only own one of his albums. i guess thats one of the nice things about iTunes. you can pick and choose. I don't really know why this thread was made. nobody really knows him; you've just heard his music, so I say let the music do the talking. and I'm sure there is a thread about christ. somewhere around here.... I love his work. and by work I mean his music and included album art (yes he makes it). pylonesque and metamorphic reproduction miracle will always hold a special place for me, as well as seeing and doing. he is not perfect. no one is. I too really enjoy skylab one, that track is awesome. and ritalin.... I think I'd rather hear yugo77 than any new boards of canada

The music does do the talking. You do realize it took as much effort to write your passive aggressive postSkytree wrote:Debate aside, it always amazes me to see how much time someone will put into being negative on the internet. Unfortunate priorities...
You'd have made a bigger point not writing at all. Nicely done.
And on further thought, how does one have a debate without an opposing side?
You're post is very intriguing.

It took me about 20 seconds. As will this. The opposing side is that Chris' music is enjoyed by some, including me, but I'm not interested in debating the point. The Voice of Reason wrote:You do realize it took as much effort to write your passive aggressive postSkytree wrote:Debate aside, it always amazes me to see how much time someone will put into being negative on the internet. Excellent idea, isn't there a youtube mashup dealio? It could be meant to be! Eddie Vedder and Christ.turquoise70 wrote:Been listening to Dirty Sun sommore lately!
Somebody needs to make a mashup of Dirty Sun and Hard Sun
I listened to Distance last night while working out, it gets better every time. Also put on Blue Shift this morning as soon as I woke up, fucking fantastic. I still haven't heard Yugo77 though, just a track or two off of it. Any idea as to where I can grab that? Anyone?
