I hope it's not in the theme that you guys are discussing now. That makes it sound so contained and comprehensible. Plus, kind of irrelevant. Not totally irrelevant, I mean nuclear weaponry and energy are both concerns today, but they're not really...I mean, if you're looking for a zeitgeist of any kind for today, you're way off. Then again, maybe that's not what they're going for either.

Also, that New Clear Dawn site could be in connection with one of their (purportedly) myriad other artistic projects, not necessarily BoC!

The interesting thing about a nuclear apocalypse theme would not be the bomb, or the explosion, or even the politics behind it. It would be the eerie inhumanity of it all, the power of mysterious technology over people, and the lure of a world that is unknown to us civilians but has the power to destroy everything. I'm browsing at 1366 which is the largest resolution my laptop can manage and that really is an inconveniently wide post.

About the nuclear thing, I see your point but it's a matter of taste really, and the nuclear stuff just doesn't hit me. I'm more given that eerie man's-inhumanity-to-man feeling from other things. Stuff like businessmen grinding away in nondescript windowless boxes in corporations with little idea of what impact their collective action has.
