You really do talk some bollocks! Bibio is great but I don't think he has the ability to produce stuff this complex. And he hasn't made anything remotely similar to VHS Head's stuff on any of his previous albums. VHS Head is a hundred times closer to BoC than Bibio in technique.

The recording quality is identical. Less sample-spazdik, but a simpler version of the same stuff.
BOC is nothing like VHS Head's approach. BOC, sure, have some samples from old movies, but who doesn't. VHS Head structures his entire tune from samples. BOC use choice samples to enhance or add mysticism to tracks.
And VHS Head is like the average shit coming out now. It just samples cut together. Its got no vibe.
90% of the tracks are all the same, seems like the tempo is the same, and the collage of samples comes out the same. Listen to it man, just samples. Nothing is close to BOC, not even the clones. They try, and fail.
Id say if ANYTHING, the way he stutters samples and is all 'choppy chopnick' style harkens more to the likes of Aphex Twin than BOC. Just without goodness.
The only thing you relate BOC to this stuff is the name and the fact the producer of this music is kept all hush hush. Didn't someone come on the forum and clear that up? Yes BOC sample stuff, sample old stuff, but so does Jack Dangers. LIKE MAD. Hell people that sample that old stuff are a dime a dozen. Does that make DJ Food like BOC? Does that make Daft Punk like BOC or Afrika Bambaataa for that matter? Come on. The comparison just seems absurd.
