I went to Alex Grey's CoSM gathering last night which was a really interesting experience for me. If you haven't ever seen his visionary art, you should definitely see it.

I am at work all day... bleh. I only caught about 5 hours of sleep last night, i am beat. I intend to just go home, lay on the couch and half sleep, half watch TV and zone out for a while. Wife will prolly make dinner or something. Then maybe I'll have enough energy to head up to the studio and fiddle around with something...

nice! you live in NY (that's where COSM is, right?) i'd love to see that place in person. i listened to a podcast featuring his wife and him a few weeks ago, produced shortly after their big car crash. i'm glad he is recovering fine now--their artwork is absolutely incredible, and it has a really powerful message behind it.Soulthriller wrote:I went to Alex Grey's CoSM gathering last night which was a really interesting experience for me. Yes, that's the one. You should definitely visit sometime. There is a full moon gathering on 9/25 and a special screening of DMT: The Spirit Molecule with Dr. Strassman there answering questions and giving a talk, along with Alex being there of course.zeitgeist wrote:nice! you live in NY (that's where COSM is, right?) i'd love to see that place in person. i listened to a podcast featuring his wife and him a few weeks ago, produced shortly after their big car crash. i'm glad he is recovering fine now--their artwork is absolutely incredible, and it has a really powerful message behind it.Soulthriller wrote:I went to Alex Grey's CoSM gathering last night which was a really interesting experience for me. I packed up my sampling case last-night. It's a small brief case i have that has my old realistic portable tape deck, a mic, 2 blank tapes, 2 pvc "drumsticks" a shaker, and a piece of wood.
Wife and I are going to go on some hikes this weekend, and bang on things with sticks. I'll have my tape recorder around my shoulder during the hike and hopefully get some good rhythm samples.
Cousin is coming over tonight. We will most likely talk about music, record or play around a little, sip some wine, smoke a cigar and chill out by the lake.
