Like I've said many times before, it doesn't necessarily mean the music isn't good enough to be on OoT. It's more that it didn't fit the flow! Even if your song is the best song ever made but it's out of tone with all the others it won't get on the comp...

I've submitted songs for the last 2 or 3 of these, never gotten one in.

But I have been played on Australia national radio before. Even if it was at like 12AM in the morning.

I know you're a lil kid or whatever, but you need to man the fuck up. You didn't make one measly internet forum music compilation. Accept that. It doesn't mean anything more than the rest of the negative criticisms you are arbitrarily making about yourself. You didn't see the list of accepted artists and then a detailed opinion of why your music sucked.
You just saw the list.
Nothing more.
Meaning that you didn't make it.
That's literally all that it means.
So take it as that and not as negative criticism. If you can't move on from such an aspect, then you have no hope of ever succeeding in life, and I'm not bullshitting you. This is where you pick up from where you left off and increase you skills and abilities, instead of sitting there pondering about why your music didn't make the compilation.
I know I ain't your dad, but this is a life lesson that everyone goes through that aspires to make it big. Quit the self-flagellating and appreciate the creations you have brought into this world.

Let you in on a secret - I'd love to be talented enough to even SUBMIT something for consideration for OOT, let alone actually make the cut. I've been pretending to write music for years now, but I just can't get my head around the whole recording/producing thing. Every time I think I'm onto something, it turns out totally ropey when recorded and I end up scrapping it. I get disillusioned and the 'studio' gets moth-balled for months again!

You've the talent to write material that you were happy enough with to submit. I'm actually jealous of you for that!! And as Ae said - it doesn't mean it sucked, just that it didn't fit. Hang in there. Keep writing. Keep improving. Keep putting yourself up to be shot at. But - most of all - do all this to make YOU happy, not us.

Lord knows that seems to be BOC's approach!
