Is there any BoC songs that you just don't get?

it don't get it, nor do i like it all that much; i tend to just skip right over it.
then again, it's hard to listen to any one song on Geogaddi.
i mean, sure, it's hard to listen to just one of any BoC songs.. but especially on Geogaddi.
they're all such dark pieces, and they take you on such a dark and demented ride.. it'd be difficult to take out just one..

...

still.
Just thought I'd mention that the beach at redpoint is one of my all time favorite tracks. In a way it reminds me of seven forty seven. I'd say I understand why you would skip over it most of the time but I can't because I absolutaly love it. I didn't realise how much it stood out to me until about a week ago.. The progression is spot on.

You Could Feel the Sky on the other hand just ripped right through me the first couple of times I tried to listen to it. If I made it to about half way through then it was fine but a handful of times I just couldnt listen for more than a minute. The sound of a thick rope tightening and something heavy hitting some type of wood floor just made me feel sick.

Thanks for not shooting me down, at least.
It just doesn't click with me, like 1969 didn't click with me right away even though everyone else is jizzing their pants over that track.

Maybe - some magical day out in the future, there may still be hope for a mutually loving relationship between ol' Turqoise and me.

This user, Sac, would like to remind us that he/she does not hate Turquoise Hexagon Sun or any other song/track written, produced and/or performed by scottish band, Boards of Canada.

I always feel like such a hipster when people ask "Whats your favorite band?"

And my response is "These two Scottish brothers you've probably never heard of...."

On topic: I never got zoetrope
"We're just a band. Not an IDM band, not an electronic band, and not a dance band."

"An imaginary road trip in a rusty pick-up heading west through the brain"

zoetrope never used to click with myself either. i remember listening to this track repetitively the first and only time i took mushrooms. i remember the melody 'speaking' to me...its a beautiful song - an odd mix of melancholic feelings, yes its okay to embrace this, as everything, it will fade.
