MicroKorg, a few different samplers with a lot of vocal, and vinyl hip hop samples, an SH-101, and some effects processors such as a tube amp, tube compressor, and tape delay units.

Mostly I'll be using the 101, and my ESX-1 with the vinyl rips.

That Davie Addison cover was done on my ESX-1 sampler... it's a micro sample of a 101 square wave, that I sequenced, and added some reverb/delay to... it was recorded straight onto magnetic tape.

This is off topic, but dono, what is the process of getting recorded tapes from a reel to reel on to a digital file? I may start using tape on my future recordings.

This is just how I do it, but I just record the tapes into my DAW (Logic Pro) via my FireWire audio interface at a fairly high nitrate. I try to do most of my arrangement by recording bits of my recorded tape back into one of my samplers and use that to arrange and then lay that arranged track back to tape thus avoiding computers alltogether.

Sometimes though, it's nice to just go sit outside with the laptop and arrange, and for this i will just record an entire tape into Logic and then cut and arrange in there. I try to do it all hardware though when I can. It just feels better to me.

Bought it off someone in my area who was looking for a good home for it. They are fairly hard to come by these days, unless you want to drop large amounts of money.

Actually Panth, that was sequenced 100% on the 101, I still don't have my MIDI to CV gate hooked up.
