Haha, that's one of me and my boy Fredd-e's favorites. I think only boc themselves know the name of that track. It's probably in the top 5 best boc tracks ever made, I just hope to see it released one day.

mine sounds the same. it's ripped at 160 kbps which is ok - but I've learned that it's MUCH better to listen to on a home stereo than in my ultra-hi-fidelity shure earbuds.... because you can really tell how bad the bass washes all the mids and highs out.

I fucking LOVE the vocoder in that track. absolutely one of the best.

it's gotta be on one of the older, family-only cassettes, don't you think? you and freddie have to have everything... you haven't stumbled across it??

that sucks. I am DYING to hear a good copy of this one.

hehe yes it's bloody amazing; especially the second dark, sinister & haunting part of the track... that's just WOW. I hope it to be released one day on the Old Tunes Boxset (if that's still going to happen) in full quality ofcourse...

I really dig that track; damn!

I'm still planning to write them a letter if that track won't be on that old tunes box set.. they might put it up on bleep or put it somewhere for free.. that would be awesome

I just listened to this track again, jesus christ this needs to be released now! Listen around the five minute mark when they spin the record backwards and the different beat kicks in. That little part gives me a fucking rush everytime I hear it.

This is actually what I really hoped the new album would sound like, but the whole guitar thing is cool too. It's just gonna take some time for me to get used to.

Is it just me, or is track 8 from Live @ Warp10 and track 3 from Live @ Lighthouse better than this one in every conceivable way?

A short time ago I would've said that the chances of a box set of 'Old Tunes' being released was next to nothing. Now, with Aphex Twin rereleasing the super obscure 'Hangable Auto Bulb' EPs out of nowhere (on CD no less), I'd say anything is possible.

If you have a file-sharer or torrent (like soulseek, e-mule, kazaa, etc.) you can search for live BoC tracks... The best keyword would probably be 'boards of canada live'. If you're lucky you'll get them all, on top of track 7 from 'Live @ ATP'.

I just downloaded Amo Bishop Roden (live) and it's gorgeous as usual, but i wanted to say something: what the hell is up with talking during live performances, please shut the hell up! on with the music now

I love this track more and more each time, the sample of the kid that says "louder!" before the beat kicks in... how it gets so dark at the end, and the hi hats echo...

That vocoded sample is fuckin eerie, I want to know what it's saying. I have found that towards the end every few bars, a sample of someone saying what sounds like "see the rainbow" comes up.
