well. i just d/loaded 3 tracks. "satellite anthem icarus", "chromakey dreamcoat" and "hey saturday sun"
"satellite..." is the alleged fake "seward leaf" which was floating around. "hey saturday sun" is kinda lazy and bouncy, wobbly snaredrum. "chromakey dreamcoat" is lovely! quite new sounding, but still has elements of the BOC we know and love (it is the most authentic sounding track of the 3 i've heard)
their all nice tunes and if they are real, cool! if not, their still very good songs.

Well, if this one is not real, it's a damn good fake. It's definitely an interesting change of direction from Geogaddi. There's a lot more guitar- kind of a terrestrial vaguely tv commercial feeling to a lot of it. Constants are Changing, '84 pontiac, hey saturday sun, and sattelite anthem are some of my favorites.
Despite the leak I'm still buying the album. What can I say- I'm hardcore.
Hyperreal's IDM mailing list had a link to wire_18_aug_2005 broadcast that had the 2nd and 3rd tracks off the album. #2 is the second song played, and #3 is the last track played on the broadcast. The tracks played on the broadcast match the wire's tracks played ...
When it's great it's magnificent, but when it's poor, it's pretty miserable.
I'm loving it upto Dayvan Cowboy, but then it just seems to drop off in inspiration.
It's definitely growing on me though and "Peacock Tail" gives me goosebumps on every play.
'kay, I've just listended to the download again, followed by the BoC remix of Last walk around mirror lake. This leads me to the conclusion that the download is definitely fake. Unless BoC are suddenly releasing an album far inferior to their own remixes of other artists.
