Listening to Boards Albums in Various Ways

I started listening to The Campfire Headphase when I got home earlier today, and somehow the thought came over me to try playing the album from multiple sources at the same time. I had the CD playing on my stereo while my iPod was docked, for example. It's impossible to get the two (or more) sources synced perfectly, so the result is off-and-on cacophony and harmony.

But the point here is that BoC's music can be listened to in a multitude of different ways (e.g. file quality and sound system), each giving a noticeably different listening experience.

I'm not entirely sure if this deserves a new topic, but my excuse is that I'm just now starting to post here. (Hi.)

i want to listen to Boards in the highest quality possible.

if not on Vinyl, then CD. if not FLAC then 320kbps MP3.

Hmmm... I love listening to BoC on my vinyl, however I often run my BoC through one of my samplers and "downshift" it to 24KHz... Twoism, and Geogaddi sound great like this.

Everything can sound high quality if you're stoned

My favorite, though, is blasting BoC on my parents $10k stereo. It literally brings a tear to my eye from time to time.

i remember having an mp3 player able to change pitch. So I listened to every boards track in like every key.

I agree, changing the pitch on tracks is loads of fun. Not only does it make tracks sound sadder, or cooler, or anything really... it sort of makes an old tune fresh.

I think over the years that I've been listening to BoC I must have slowed down every one of their songs. Usually shift it between 6-12 semitones down. But usually 6 or 12.

On a more on topic note, here is Over the Horizon Radar with the bass amplified and pitch elevated, I was just fiddling with it on Audacity and this just sounded beautiful.

I really like the way Old Tunes sounds on my old laptop speakers, as of late. Sounds stupid, but there's just SOMETHING about it. Or maybe it's the weed. IDK :oops:

Well if you like music without bass and depth :roll:

Might sound a bit more casette-ish though!
