They have a heavily used copy of Earthbound at a used game/dvd/cd store here for $90 it has brown crud on it, hahaha. I might go pick up a copy of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for $20

Nice! I would really like to get one.

Did anyone's SNES turn yellowish? Do to the plastic they used, the coloring of the plastic aged to a gross yellowish brown. I've had mine ever since 1991 and it was gray at one point and now it has faded on parts of it.

Also, you gotta love these early design drawings for the SNES.

All of my old consoles and most of my games were stolen from me a long time ago. And my brother pawned a bunch of games on me.

But I still have some of my PS1 games. Like Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 8, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions.

I'm very grateful that Sony has the PSOne Classics on the PSN Store.

Yeah, my US SNES faded a sort of tobacco-stained yellow. Pretty ugly console compared to the Super Famicom and European model. Not sure those purple switches would have looked great on anything. ;)

with the AV famicom, you need the same red, white, and yellow cable that attached to the SNES/N64/GC. they still sell official ones here for about $15. other than that your good to go! all you need is software after that.

Ahahah yes, my first SNES is yellowed to hell. Its cos my friend I bought it off of way back when always had kept it in a window or something..so sun was constantly beating down on it, turning the case to yellow. My SNES that I use for actual games still is the nice grey color...

And..I totally have the Nintendo Power issue with those sketches in it! Along with about 50 or so old NP mags from the late 1980s to mid 1990s! Hahah

not sure why, but i have two NES's..

and a dreamcast.

i don't think any game system had a weirder variety of awkward games
that, and dreamcast had to have the best graphics of its time.

I found NES from flea-market for 20 e. Came with Two controllers and Lion King. The Lion King NES version seems to be horrible. WAY too ugly and controls are sticky and unresponsive. Bought Ironsword : Wizards and Warriors 2 for it and yeah it rocks. It has everything that good NES game should have. And the music kicks ass: ! 8) Oh hell the last boss theme is so awesome.

That reminds me of the Lion King on SNES. One of the hardest games I had. Never beat it.

Is that FPS or cool Japanese shooters like Axelay, Einhander and DoDonPachi?

We were all on Ataris and Commodores rather than NES over here. Loved the SNES though. Super Metroid, Zelda and F-Zero. Super Mario World gives me an instant nostalgia hit.
Yep!! I was only playing Einhander the other day,Gradius gaiden on ps1 is my fav!! I just cant get enough of my shooters lol Ikaruga and any shooter by Treasure just gives me an instant boner lol ///Or anything by Cave ;')

I have a Japanese Saturn here for pretty much just Radiant Silvergun. :D

It's why I still love my Dreamcast. So many great shooters on there. Cave and Treasure FTW!

My parents have an Intellivision that I used to play a lot when I was younger. I remember playing Asteroid and this other game that I don't remember its name, but you fly over the surface of this big space station (it reminded me of the death star) and you had to shoot at space ships that came at you. I'm not sure where it is now, probably just stored away somewhere collecting dust.

Same Lion King game is bloody superb as MSDos version but hey that NES version is a bit tacky and unfinished compared to some other NES games. Oh my hell did I ever lose my mind with the second level of the NES version
