I've always had a suspicion that those old releases as listed on the website were a fictional history of the band, a spot of misinformation cooked up for their own amusement and as a way of diverting the press when the band started in earnest. Remember, this is a band who hid the fact that they are brothers for many years, so playing with the public's knowledge of the band isn't unknown for them.
I think the 'Old Tunes' cassettes were as official and packaged as they got pre-Twoism.
I don't doubt that they made music earlier than Twoism. 'Old Tunes' are proof of that. However, I'm pretty convinced that we would have seen some evidence of those 'lost' releases by now.

I would give a shit if they were released properly. Otherwise why bother?Julian Candy wrote:I'm kinda surprised that people actually still give two shits about their old albums, I gave up after I knew that no copy is going to be real. I'm still skeptical that they even existed, or at least Acid Memories and Catalog 3.
You guys can't take watmm seriously or it will hurt your brain. It's one of my favorite forums right now. Reminds me of very old school offtopic.net (circa 2001-2002ish) with lots of inside jokes from a small community.
Oh and between the music discussion subforum at watmm and the random sound subforum here you're getting pretty much the best news for electronic music out there. So to write watmm off like that only hurts your exposure to bad ass music.

I can't agree more. It looks like everybody on that forum is bittered. Every topic that is made on that forum gets weird agressive reactions.polar sky wrote:WATMM doesn't do it for me. It's your typical forum... It doesn't look welcoming, very dull looking and no personality like Twoism has. Seems like a gathering of World of Warcraft enthusiast trolls who happen to like BoC.

because its a sub forum, and people get all pissy when others bitch about BoC not releasing stuff, and the general fanboyness of the kids over thereportiss wrote:I can't agree more.
